Igniting a shared responsibility
Join us for the live-streamed event Our Country, Our Future – Igniting a Shared Responsibility to celebrate National Reconciliation Week 2020. This is an opportunity to reflect upon our shared culture and pave a road toward reconciliation.
From your own home tune in to watch keynote speakers including Stan Grant and Uncle Jack Charles who will be exploring the shared culture, and a shared responsibility, of all Australians. Engage with thought-provoking ideas that can unite all Australians regardless of backgrounds, like firestick knowledge as a method of fire management. There will be a celebration of Aboriginal culture including a live smoking ceremony, featuring local Wurundjeri Elders, and cultural dance and performance.
The broadcast will be presented with closed captions and with an Auslan interpreter so that this experience can be shared by our whole community.
Wednesday 27 May from 10:30 am to noon.
Hosted by Yarra Ranges Council, alalouie has also partnered with Inspiro, Eastern Metropolitan Region Palliative Care Consortium, Oonah and Knox City Council.
